Binoculars are one of those things that you are going to get the exact quality that you pay for. The whole market for optics, binoculars, rifle scopes right now is full of really poor quality junk from China, and Russia. As long as you stick with a name brand like Tasco, Simmons, Nikon,Canon, you will do okay, wether you spend or 0 dollars. Stick with American made and you should be fine..Learn to tell the difference..Thats the key here to prevent from bring ripped off......

I had Bell&Howell binoculars that lasted for years and were of very high quality, but after years of abuse I just couldn’t get them to focus anymore. Last year I bought a cheap pair of binocs at a clearance store and I got what I paid for – junk. This year I bought a pair of compact Tasco binoculars that I use at football games. They’re great. They also have a built in AM/FM Radio that lets me listen to the game broadcast through a headset. The radio doesn’t work very well.
