Question by Green Tea: What other tools will I need?
I'm a high school freshman who plans on going into either ecology or ethology, but I want to go ahead and start learning skills that I'll need. I plan on exploring the places that I live (one is a suburban back yard, the other a camp on an island surrounded by Louisiana marsh) and I'm trying to slowly accumulate some tools that I would love to have. I'm fairly new to this, so I'm not totally sure what would be really helpful or not.
Things I have/plan on getting:
-A waterproof backpack
-Binoculars
-Compass
-Sketchbook/journal/graph paper
-Mechanical pencil, watercolors, pen
-Binoculars
-Digital camera
-Magnifying glass
-Some field guides
-Eventually a map of the island. Not essential yet since my parents don't trust me to be out of sight of the house lol

That sounds like a lot now that I'm listing it out, gosh. But it all feels pretty essential. Anyways, I just wanted to double check and see if I'm missing anything important. Any help is lovely, and thank you to anyone who answers.

Quadrats
Waders
Microscope (these are not as expensive as you might think), and slides
Sports watch with stopwatch function, and water resistant to 100 feet
