Alpen's APEX binocular family defines the best in optical quality and value. APEX binoculars have a strong composite body for durable yet light weight performance and have Phase and HR metallic coated BaK4 optics to provide a bright, sharp image. Each optical element is also fully multi-coated delivering the brightest image in low light conditions. Long eye relief, twist-lock eye cups and waterproof / fogproof construction provide the best combination of field durability, great optics, and affordabilty. Models #2 (8x32), #493 (8x42), and #495 (10x42) all provide Super Close Focus of 4 feet, 5 feet and 5 feet respectively which is great for butterfly and birdwatchers. Also included is a durable nylon belt loop carrying case, rubber eye piece rainguard, and soft yet strong neck strap. Zeiss Carl Zeiss Suspender Binocular Harness Strap (6 Pack)
The Suspender Harness strap from Zeiss distributes a binoculars' weight across your back and shoulders, as well as keeping them close to your body to prevent swinging around. It is highly recommended for using binoculars during activities where you'll be moving around quite a bit, though you'd never want to be galloping upon a horse with such a contraption. An added benefit to a suspender harness strap is that you'll be able to hold your binocular steadier thanks to the elasticity maintaining a bit more tension which lends significant support. Attaches to any binocular though gargantuan monstrosities, such as those with objective lens diameters exceeding 50mm, are not recommended.
